HOW IT WORKS

How the calculation works

How PokéBirth works

We count the date as a day number in a leap year, including February 29, then match it against the National Dex number modulo 366. This keeps every date in one cycle and gives each day two or three matches.

The birthday formula

National Dex number ÷ 366 remainder = calendar day

PokéBirth turns every calendar date into a small Pokémon discovery. The same date always produces the same matches, so your result is easy to share.

Every date takes one position in a leap-year calendar. Pokémon whose National Dex number has the same remainder when divided by 366 are your birthday matches.

July 27 example:#0209, #0575, and #0941 all land on day 209 when their Pokédex numbers are divided by 366.
