Tips for the battle

  • Inspect your team before the battle. You can reorder your Pokémon and check their moves in the menu.
  • A Ground-type Pokémon avoids Pikachu’s Electric attacks. Check his other moves before deciding how to respond.
  • Rock-type moves are especially effective against Charizard. Physical Fighting attacks can exploit Snorlax’s lower Defense.
  • Consider Dark, Ghost, or Bug moves against Espeon. In Generation III, move type determines whether an attack is physical or special.
  • Switching uses your turn. Preserve a Pokémon you will need later; bag items are unavailable.

Good to know

What to know before you climb to the summit.

Does everyone get the same team?+

Yes. The same calendar date produces the same team across all game languages. Dates use your local time zone, and changing language does not grant another attempt.

Where are my results saved?+

Wins, losses, and streaks are saved in this browser. All game languages share the same record, but it does not sync between devices. Clearing site data resets it; if browser storage is blocked, results last only for the current visit.

Can I play on a phone?+

Yes. Use the on-screen directional pad and A, B, Start, and Select buttons below the game screen.

How many recorded battles can I play?+

You get one recorded battle per day in this browser. Reloading before facing RED gives you the same team.

When does the next challenge start?+

A new challenge begins at midnight in your local time zone. After your result, the game shows a countdown.

Which battle rules apply?+

The game uses Generation III rules: there is no Fairy type or modern per-move damage split; move type determines physical or special damage. Bag items are unavailable and battle style is locked to SET.

What if I close or reload the game?+

Before the battle against RED, you can start again with the same team. Once that battle begins, leaving or reloading counts as a loss, and an unfinished battle cannot be resumed later.
