Three moves to make a connection

  1. 01

    Scan the board

Look across all 16 Pokémon before committing. The obvious match may be a decoy.

  2. 02

    Choose four

Tap the four Pokémon that share one idea: a type, region, evolution line, colour, or something stranger.

  3. 03

    Submit and adapt

A correct group locks in. A wrong guess costs a life, so use every “one away” clue carefully.

THE DAILY LOOP

One board. Four connections. Four lives.

Every local day brings a fresh board. Find four groups of four, protect your lives, and finish the puzzle before the clock reaches your next midnight reset.

4 lives4 / 4

4 lives

Each wrong submission removes one life. When the meter is empty, the board ends and the solution becomes available.

Daily reset

A new board arrives at your local midnight. Everyone playing the same date receives the same board, and your progress is kept if you refresh the page.

Tune the clues to your play style

The same daily board can become a visual scan, a memory test, or a deeper trivia hunt with two simple selectors.

ImagesNamesNormal → Hard+
01

Images

Visual scan

See the sprites and use colour, silhouette, shape, and visual families as clues.

02

Names

Knowledge check

Hide the artwork and solve from the Pokémon names alone. It makes the connections feel sharper.

03

Difficulty

Normal / Hard / Hard+

Keep four lives, but move from familiar categories toward more specific Pokémon knowledge.

04

Unlimited

10 / 15 / 20 boards

Chain multiple boards together with one shared four-life meter and earn 100 points for every board cleared.

DIFFICULTY SELECTOR

Pick your pressure

NormalWarm-upA friendly mix of approachable categories. No hints needed.
HardSharperFewer obvious routes and more room for tempting near-matches.
Hard+Deep cutFor players who enjoy the connections you cannot read from the sprite alone.

Field notes for a better first guess

  • 01Start with the group you can explain in one sentence. Confidence is worth more than cleverness.
  • 02If the game says “one away”, keep three and replace the tile that is doing the least work.
  • 03After a group clears, re-scan the smaller board. The remaining Pokémon often reveal a second connection.
  • 04When the board feels noisy, switch between Images and Names. A new clue surface can break the tie.
